Evergreen Shade

Mrs. Robert Howard and Dr. John Tole are Evergreen Shade. Their repertoire includes American period music from colonial days to the present as well as traditional and modern Celtic, folk, country, and pop tunes. Both are members of the Fauquier County (VA) Civil War Roundtable where their common interest in the songs of the War Between the States brought them together. While they focus on music of the Civil War, 1812, American Revolution and Colonial eras, they also perform a wide variety of other traditional and modern acoustic and folk songs including an entire program of songs with rural/environmental themes as well as Irish/Celtic, Christmas, and country music. |

Stan Clardy |

Stan Clardy, southern born and bred, raised in a small town in south Georgia and currently living in North Carolina. He has been exposed to different types and styles of music since childhood and enjoys playing multiple instruments and singing. Stand will be performing his musical journey "Soldier's in Gray" on Saturday evening.
About "Soldier's in Gray"
It is a story of a soldier's life before, during and after the War Between the States 1861-1865. Your ancestor could be this soldier. This is a fictional character whose story is based on written facts and personal letters of people who endured this fight for the South; starting with the thunder of the threatened south and ending with discovering a treasure--- a heritage treasure. This educational, musical journey of a soldier's life and feelings during the war will encourage you to preserve and honor our southern heritage for which these soldier's fought.
